Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail

Raising awareness about the importance of protecting koalas and their natural habitat.

My Role:
Graphic Designer

My Tasks:
Wayfinding, Signage, Print Design, Digital Design

The Challenge:
There was a need to raise awareness about protecting koalas and their natural habitat, while also promoting broader environmental sustainability, the arts, and cultural tourism. The aim was to spotlight the importance of preserving our unique Australian wildlife, with a particular focus on the koala, one of our most iconic species.

The Solution:
A public initiative was launched to support these goals through a Sculpture Trail designed to inspire and educate. The trail winds through towns, villages, parklands, beaches, community spaces, and local businesses—spanning regions like Macarthur, Sydney City, and Port Macquarie. It encourages visitors to stay longer, explore local areas, and engage with both the arts and nature, helping to boost local tourism while raising environmental awareness.

22 posters placed around local parklands & LGA’s.

Designed to promote the arts, cultural tourism and environmental sustainability, to raise awareness of the need to protect the Koala and its habitat in particular, and our unique Australian wildlife in general. It also aims to encourage visitors to come, stay and explore their local LGA with the Sculpture Trail leading throughout towns, villages, parkland, beaches, community locations and businesses including Macarthur, Sydney City and Port Maquarie.

Take a selfie and win

These signs were used as landmarks to find the Koalas on the map. Visitors would take a selfie of the Koala’s and post on instagram to be in the draw to win prizes.
